DIYShowOff Juju hat wall decor tutorial

When a friend of mine had to component strategies with her African Juju hat wall decor (you do not want to know), she was in the market for a substitution. It’s been a while given that I’ve been crafty and what much better time than the new calendar year for a clean start off?! Great timing. A great option to concentrate on the good and to send some fantastic juju to a close friend.

What is your 1st Do-it-yourself job of the new 12 months? Hunting for and simple, enjoyable and “GOOD” Do-it-yourself to jumpstart 2022? This is the perfect small task for you to try out! I felt empowered and motivated so I opened up my Amazon app and requested these materials:

Products I utilized (referral back links):

cardboard circle (could easily make a person from recycled cardboard far too, in particular if you’ve been procrastinating the vacation clean up up!)

• feather trim ( obtained 2 of this feather trim and 1 of this feather fringe trim)

• aluminum pop top rated (eliminated from can) to hold (could also use string or dangle with drive pins)

Resources:

hot glue gun/sticks, scissors

What I did:

I observed the centre of my cardboard circle. From there, I drew a straight line to the outer edge.

Using scissors, I minimize together the line.

Up coming, working with scorching glue together a single facet of the lower, I glued the other facet a little bit on top to make a little bit of a ‘bowl’-condition. It’s very slight…just adequate to give it a 3D look.

Then, defend your fingers ‘cuz that incredibly hot glue is Hot! Be mindful! (I applied a capped pen to hold down the ribbon as needed.) Decide placement and get started attaching the base of the feather trip to the cardboard circle. I worked my way all-around the outer edge.

Repeat in circles for full protection. Based on your materials, determine how near together to deal with the cardboard. I alternated the 2 distinctive feather trims.

For the heart, add a coordinating or very same colour silk flower. Or, like me, consider a bit of leftover trim and roll to make a “center” piece. Connect with hot glue.

Straightforward peasy! A great deal lighter and not as comprehensive or large as the genuine point but beautiful none-the-a lot less and unique due to the fact you produced it you!

I’m hooked and program to produce quite a few more! Far more feather trim as been purchased! I require a fluffier a single! A feather boa would work as well (although a minimal messier)! Perhaps some rattan coasters for the center or a coordinating silk peony would be attractive also. I’ll appear back and submit more shots. Fascinated in incorporating yours to the attribute?
