Following on from the lockdown-sparked trend for ‘making a meal of it’ – a term coined by Laura Jackson that encouraged us to see dinner time as an event – lots of our favourite brands are now stocking delightful easter-themed home accessories just in time for Easter Weekend, from Spring-friendly gingham linens through to fluffy chicks and rattan bunnies – you name it, we want it.

Of course, decorating your home and table for Easter is not a necessity – but if, like me, you’re missing the unabashed joy of Christmas and are looking for something to spark some creativity this week, why not consider tablescaping your latest fixation?
If you’re hosting a full-blown easter party this John Lewis Easter tree is flying off shelves (100 were sold in the last 24 hours), and you can decorate with dainty eggs and chicks, or this Ocado Easter Tree comes fully-decorated if you’re feeling lazy. We’re also huge fans of an easter wreath, which you could easily D.I.Y – or perhaps upcycle from Christmas – and can be hung on your front door or used as a centerpiece for your tablescape.
Not feeling too crafty? We have just the solution. Alice Naylor-Leyland, aka Mrs Alice, launched her own brand in November 2019 after receiving lots of requests for how she created her Insta-famous tables. Now famed for selling entire tablescapes in a box – Mrs Alice creates the most elaborate, luxury table settings that do all the hard work for you.
For the more budget-friendly Easter decor, head to your local bargain stores – B&M, The Range and Matalan all have some great pieces to transform your home, and don’t forget Hobbycraft for crafty buys that the kids (and you) will love.

For a table that would be the envy of Peter Rabbit, try including fruits n veggies in your decor. Curators of unique table and kitchenware, The Sette, stock a vegetable medley of cutlery rests and plates that will be the envy of your guests. While Amsterdam-based lifestyle brand Anna & Nina have you covered with strawberry adorned tablecloths, placemats and even crockery.

Added bonus, many of these pieces can be reused for any springtime event you throw – or even for summer BBQ’s.
