House Beautiful Whole Home Concept House

Denver custom builders Bob and Nick Nettleton have the perfect design to come visit today, for anyone thinking about how to live post-Covid. It’s on view Sunday, Feb. 7, 10-to-2, socially distanced, of course.

House Beautiful Magazine liked Nicholas’ custom design so much that they commissioned it as their national Whole Home Concept House for this past year, showcased in a fall issue showing new ideas in wellness and energy design.

What the magazine writers liked are numbers of timely trends that render a home more livable. It’s also on a scenic 2-acre site in the rolling country near Parker, 30 minutes south of the Tech Center — providing it with the elbow room that buyers are keen for now, while still remaining very accessible to city attractions.

In the Super Bowl spirit, the builders will have hors d’oeuvres and some libations out and will be following the pre-game activities on various big-screens.

Meanwhile, the home is set to appear in House Beautiful again next month, showcasing a ‘We Shed’ accessory unit that you’ll visit out back of the home as part of its very large outdoor living spaces. That space is one of many that can be work-from-home areas — another quality that buyers are anxiously seeking as Covid moves past.

The home is priced at $2.995 million. Along with work-from-home, Nick Nettleton says the 4-bedroom/6-bath home has four other qualities that make it perfect as a post-pandemic habitat—starting with healthy living. The house is certified by Wellness Within Your Walls for its natural, sustainable approach to a healthier environment, featuring the latest tech innovations. The Concept House’s surrounding community at Fox Hill is designed for farm-to-table living, providing its buyers with the option of receiving produce created in a historic farm with state-of-the-art orchards and greenhouse.

You’ll also see an ideal setup for many families who are looking to bring parents or other family members back home to live, in the wake of Covid. The home has a large ‘Boomer Suite’ perfect for multigenerational living, with its own gourmet kitchen, large sitting area, and a separate entrance to the 3-car side-load garage.

All parts of the home share views of a 120-degree sweep of Rocky Mountain Peaks and nearby Black Forest pines. Major grocery shopping and other conveniences are ten minutes away.

To visit, from Parker Road take Bayou Gulch Road east five miles and turn south on Flintwood a mile to Red Kit Road, then west.

Building since 1988, Nicholas Custom Homes builds in Cherry Creek, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Castle Pines, Fox Hill, and Columbine Country Club, with its rebuilt clubhouse and top-rated schools, just west of downtown Littleton’s dining district. You can call Nick, 303-953-9525, to arrange a personal tour or to discuss your own ideas for custom living post-Covid.

The news and editorial staffs of The Denver Post had no role in this post’s preparation.
